Van Patten Drive Pedestrian, Cyclist & Vehicle Speed Activity Review
Traffic Activity Summary
The Town of Clifton Park has completed a three‑day evaluation of pedestrians and cyclists, and seven days of collecting vehicle activity along Van Patten Drive and several key connecting neighborhood streets. This review helps the Town understand how residents travel in the area and supports informed decisions regarding roadway safety, traffic calming, and future infrastructure improvements.
About the Study
Between September 25–27, pedestrian and cyclist activity was monitored at six locations along Van Patten Drive and adjoining streets. Counts included pedestrians and cyclists. Vehicle speeds were collected separately using Town Speed radar trailers deployed over a full seven-day timeline. The monitoring period was consistent across all locations to allow a comparable assessment of usage patterns and roadway conditions.
