The advisory committee submitted the Draft Plan to the Town of Clifton Park Town Board on March 17, 2026 at the Town Board meeting. The public comment period is open through April 21, 2026. Working with an Agriculture and Farmland Protection Project Advisory Committee, town officials and staff, professional consultant team, and with input from the public and farmland owners, the Town of Clifton Park created a town-wide agriculture and farmland plan to support local farmers both long-time existing farmers as well as newer farmers, grow the future economic viability of agriculture in the community, and strengthen the protection of farmland resources. The Town of Clifton Park received a Municipal Agriculture and Farmland Protection Planning Grant to support this 2024-2025 public planning project through the New York State Department of Agriculture & Markets.
"Save-the-Date" for Farm Fest 2026 slated for Saturday, Sept. 19, 2026 - Sunday, Sept. 20, 2026. Last year's event, Farm Fest 2025, was held at farms and other agriculture-friendly venues throughout Clifton Park.

This public planning project was conducted July 2024 through February 2026. The Town of Clifton Park Town Board accepted the Draft Town of Clifton Park Agriculture and Farmland Protection Plan at the town board meeting March 17, 2026. The public comment period is open through April 21, 2026. Please email planning@cliftonpark.org with any written comments. A public hearing on the plan will be conducted on April 21, 2026 at 7 p.m. at the Clifton Park Town Board meeting.
