Project Overview:
This project aims to enhance and transform the intersection at Sitterly Road and Clifton Park Center Road, improving safety and accessibility for all transportation users. Key goals include:
- Improved sidewalk connectivity to support pedestrian safety.
- Reduction of vehicle conflict points to enhance traffic flow and safety.
Planned Improvements:
- Construction of new sidewalks along:
- Sitterly Road from Crossing Boulevard to Clifton Park Center Road.
- Clifton Park Center Road from Clifton Country Road to the future Bass Pro Shops driveway.
- Single lane roundabout at the intersection of Clifton
Project Budget & Funding:
- Total Budget: $4,313,000
- Federal Grant Funding: $3,450,000
Project Status:
- Completed: Survey and Right-of-Way (ROW) Mapping; Wetland Delineation; Infiltration Testing; Geotechnical Investigations
- Completed: Preliminary Design Phase.
- Transition to the Final Design Phase once Design Approval Document submitted in early March 2026 to NYS DOT receives approval.
Construction Timeline:
